This home is located on the Balboa Peninsula, surrounded by water on both sides. Existing condition was a simple white stucco box lacking connection to its remarkable coastal setting.
In this major remodel, given the stringent regulations it was subject to, designed interventions were strategic. By the inclusion of a 1500 SF rooftop deck, the house was reshaped to engage with the ocean. Slatted wood screens were integrated to the exterior to create a balance between privacy and nearby beach traffic.
